Here are pictures of our room - actually a suite - as all rooms except suites were booked. No complaints for this! Mick and I dislike hotel rooms where they only provide dual occupants with ONE chair. Who designs those? One of us always ends up sitting on the bed to read, usually me. So we do book a suite whenever possible because they're definitely more comfortable and less confining.
The Sherwood House is where we stayed in Skaneateles. It's 200 years old, like stepping back in time inside, except for the amenities - all modern!
The view out our windows.....love, love, love being near the water! My dream is to live in a house on a lake......
The picture of the park is along the eastern side of the lake in town - a nice morning stroll took us there.

You'd love it, Joy. Not only are the lake and park right outside, but shops and galleries are a half block away. Restaurants too!
This Inn looks so elegant and peaceful! A house on the lake sounds great to me also.
